Many Americans are struggling with debt as the economy sours. But Arizona's Economides family - all seven of them - are making ends meet on only $44,000 per year. "The economy is in a tailspin, and we're perfectly fine," said Annette Economides.

- Getting rid of chemicals from our diet is just a "fad"? I agree that people will be much healthier if they cut out all processed foods, but there are benefits to growing food organically and wanting to reduce the environmental and physical effects of harmful chemicals.

- It wouldn't be reasonable to generalize the population based on one person's health. In addition, there is more to take into account than just the sticker price you're looking at.

- A major cause of the rising food prices is the fact that we ship our food thousands of miles on average. As the price of oil increases, so does the price of shipping, and in turn, so does the price of shipped food.
